A Story
by Michael Christopher
Psalm 32:10, Mark 12:30-31, and Romans 12:9 (This book covers the difficult topic of domestic violence, restoration within a family, and through lifesaving love that will not be denied. The scriptural focus is on Love, God’s love for us and how we show love to others, even when their behavior is unlovable.)
Snakebit is the fifth in a series of books built on fascinating characters. This one introduces an entirely new family. Unfortunately, they arrive with built-in problems, but Dellie O’Shea and Cake Baker are able to help by doing the kind of decent things they have done so often in the past. Those “decent things” involve allowing their understanding of how families and friends should interact to influence others. And most important of all, by allowing God Himself to lead the way and provide the guidance and direction that all of us need at various points in our own lives.
This series was originally written for the 9-12 year old (middle school aged). However, adults love the stories… the characters and the biblical truths brought out in short easy fictional books. This format works especially well with the incarcerated population.
